Digital Detox Retreat

Digital detox sounds scary but you will love it!
Unfortunately, we are all addicted these days. To our computer and especially to our phone! The phone has become a kind of third hand where you can no longer imagine what it was like without that mobile phone. And like every addict, we have a lot of trouble admitting that: “It’s not that bad…, I do take my rest without my mobile phone…, I don’t look at social media that often….” .
However, the truth is different
Just think (honestly) to yourself how much time in hours (!) you spend every day on your mobile phone or behind another screen? Maybe it is time for a digital detox? Not a ‘cold turkey one’ but step by step, so that the transition is not too big. And we do it together, which may make it even easier.
We receive so many stimuli every day and you have to arm yourself against them every now and then. There are two types of stimuli, internal and external. The internal stimuli are your thoughts, your feelings and your emotions. You perceive external stimuli through your senses and you receive about 11 thousand of them per second! It is therefore not surprising that some people are overloaded and experience fatigue and stress-related complaints
What are we doing in this 10-day retreat?
Mainly looking for Peace. Rest in the day filled by a fixed (not too busy) program. Regularity, you don’t have to think about what you are going to do, everything is thought out for you, including your food and drinks, you only have to follow and not to forget connection with Nature. That will also ensure that you can come back to yourself. The soothing jungle sounds at night, the silent encounters with the underwater life while snorkeling, the splashing waterfall where you can literally rinse off and let everything slide off you and also the soothing ceremonies and meditations that we are going to do here.
The invitation
Margo, the coach on site, will work with you to learn how to focus on yourself, how to regulate your breathing and how to keep your thoughts positive and well-grounded. There will be daily yoga classes for every level. So not important if it is your first yoga lesson or you are already advanced. Our yoga teacher Astrid will work with you on your own level.
Last but certainly not least, we will do a 24-hour Vipassana during this period! Two days in silence, we don’t talk to each other, there is no eye contact, no cell phones or reading a book. We turn completely inward, we are guided by meditations and yoga exercises and we write in our notebook what happens internally and what keeps us busy. After the two days we can share our experiences with each other. Magical!
We have created a retreat for young people who are looking for a challenge to learn and grow in combination with adventure. A youth retreat of 8 days in which you get to work with each other and with yourself. You will be guided in this by Margo, a woman with a lot of life experience and young at heart.
