Yin Yoga Teacher Training
Learn the basics of Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridian theory, retreat-style on a tropical island! Disconnect from your hectic daily life and immerse yourself fully in the study and practice of Yin Yoga. You will embrace the ‘Yin way’ and develop into a creative Yin yoga teacher.

This 50 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training will learn you how to apply the principles of Yin yoga in your teachings and create a deeper understanding of the Chinese Meridian theory. After the training in Karimunjawa, you will be able to teach a Yin Yoga class suitable for all levels with over 25 Yin poses and their variations.
The Training
The practice of Yin yoga is like an inner journey. Go on your own ‘Yinner Journey’, guided by Yogafactor in a small personal group setting. No more than 15 participants are allowed. You may have already experienced the benefits and aspire to be a Yin yoga teacher. Or it might be your curiosity on how to incorporate Yin in your own practice, that makes you interested in following our training.
This Yin Yoga training takes place in a tropical retreat, to offer a space for practitioners to disconnect from their hectic lives, spend time in nature, whilst immersing themselves fully in the practice and study of Yin yoga. Your days will be divided into blocks of theory (TCM), practical assignments, Yin Yoga sessions, and teaching practices. Expect a well set up schedule, taking into account your need to reflect and digest the material. You will be able to reflect, pause, practice, and learn in a playful way surrounded by nature in a tropical setting.
Your Training consists of
- 25 classic Yin yoga poses
- Daily Yin Yoga, Pranayama, and meditation sessions
- Chinese Meridian theory
- Principles of Yin and Yang
- Functional yoga & energetic approach
- The Art of sequencing with a focus on the emotional aspects of Chinese Meridian
- Intimate group size, a lot of personal attention, maximum participants in the group is 15
Certification
This training is a Yoga Alliance Yacep Registered course which counts as continuing education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers only. Upon course completion, you will receive a certificate of completion. Please note that it is the choice and responsibility of the student to register online, all cost associated with the online registration with Yoga Alliance is to be paid by the student.
Completion of all assignments and presence throughout the training week will enable you to obtain a certificate with Yoga Alliance**. There is no previous experience required to register as a participant.

07:00 – 08:15 hour: Morning Yin Yoga
08:30 – 09:30 hour: Breakfast
09:30 – 10:00 hour: Key points of morning practice
10:00 – 12:00 hour: Theory anatomy, teaching, and energetics
12:00 – 13:00 hour: Lunch break
13:00 – 14:00 hour: Afternoon Yin & Key points of the afternoon practice
14:00 – 15:30 hour: Practical assignment – pose workshop, functional yoga lab, teaching skills, yoga quiz
15:30 – 16:30 hour: Students teach students – tips & tops
16:30 – 19:00 hour: Digest and study time, Q&A
19:00 – 20:00 hour: Dinner
The Facilitators
Marjon Rozema from Yogafactor is a creative, down to earth and accessible Yoga teacher specialized in Yin Yoga. Marjon loves to share the tools of this quiet, deep practice with a profound effect on our busy minds. Apart from that, she teaches Hormone Yoga to women of all ages and works as a freelance tv director. Originally educated Yoga Vinyasa style, she likes to integrate soft and gentle flow in her yoga sessions. Marjon organizes and hosts retreats, workshops, and teacher training to inspire others and share the benefits of yoga.
